Fashion and fast cars part of September’s lineup around Goshen

Things are going to look quite posh around Goshen Friday night as high fashion and Porsches are the highlight of September’s First Fridays.

Between 5 and 6 p.m. Friday Porsches will start arriving on Lincoln Avenue for the Porsche show near the intersection of Lincoln and Main.

According to Kelly Kenny, event and media coordinator for Downtown Goshen Inc., 55 Porsches are expected at the event.

Jamaica: No other resort on the island is closer to Dunn’s River Falls than Jewel Dunn’s River Beach in Ocho Rios. Fitness junkies will love a day hiking the falls, playing the nine-hole pitch course, working up a sweat in the fitness center or swimming laps in one of two pools. “I talked to the president of the Michiana Porsche Club and his smile was from ear to ear talking about the event,” said Kenny. “So I think that really says it all”

The show runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and visitors can vote on their favorite.

Awards will be presented at 7 p.m.

Plaques and cash prizes will go to show participants for the Longest Drive, Members’ Choice, and People’s Choice awards

Sartorial trek

The High Fashion Tour runs from 5 to 9 p.m. It includes a scavenger hunt with participating retailers. Participating retailers include Gift of G.A.B., Jules Boutique, l.o.l health and fitness studio, Maple City Market, Reverie Yarn, Décor and Gifts, Salon J, Spacious Heart Yoga, Ten Thousand Villages Goshen and Woldruff’s Footwear and Apparel.
