Arizona has plenty of interesting places to stay but a brand new hotel has just hit the rental market.

It’s small and exclusive. And, it can go from 0 to 60 mph in four seconds.

New carmaker Tesla provides a distinct luxury and efficiency with its all electric and coupe. In fact, there’s enough space to stretch a body out completely.

Xbox One emerged as one of the top holiday purchases over the Black Friday weekend. “It will be interesting to see how that plays out over the holidays, especially with the Xbox One recently dropping the price and cutting some pretty nice bundle deals over Black Friday and that will continue through the first of next year,” Pike said. “I think that could really throw a wrench into things and change up sales from what we have seen from the two systems.”

“I’ve already slept in this thing three times so why not let other people do it,” Tesla owner Steve Sasman said.
Sasman is a part-time Uber driver, and he’ll chauffer you around town in his tantalizing Tesla.
But his full-time job is in vacation rentals.

His Tesla Model S retails for about $119,000. If you’re going to spend that kind of money on a car, you’re going to want to do more than just drive around in it, Sasman said.

So a person can get super comfortable with it, curl up and maybe just go to sleep in it.

Call it the world’s first Tesla hotel, at $85 a night and complete with two remote control candles.

“You know, if you want to set a nice mood in there,” Sasman said.

“You get a premium air bed,” he continued. “This thing is top of the line. It’s a full-size airbed that comes with linens.”

Sasman’s owned the car for about four months and for the past month he’s advertised it online as a hotel – the fastest hotel in the world.

Sasman said he’s had no takers yet, but that it’s only a matter of time.

He said he’s part of the “sharing economy,” businesses that allow people to share their possessions with others and make some money at the same time.

It also allows the opportunity for people to get a feel for a car that might otherwise be out of their reach.
For its Nielsen Games Study, the research firm conducted online surveys with more than 2,400 adults and children (interviewed with parents or guardians) between Nov. 7-12, 2014. They asked whether were interested in getting at least one new game platform over the next six months. Interest in streaming video is high, too, Pike said, as many consumers using game systems to stream Netflix, YouTube and other services.

But adults are also interested in smart TVs this holiday season, too, with 23% of adults and 28% of teens interested in getting one. “Overall, what we have seen is that consumers are looking to connect more of the services they use into single platforms,” Pike said. “Smart TV is another example of that.”

Although the PS4 has jumped out to a sales lead in the U.S., the Xbox One could be catching up, based on the interest levels that Nielsen has found, she said.

“To sleep in it one night is to give somebody a taste,” Sasman said. “They get to spend some time in the car, experience it without actually buying it.”

Sasman said the Tesla Hotel won’t be available in the days leading up to the NFL’s Super Bowl in Glendale on Feb. 1.
